Footlog helps recreational soccer groups run polls, teams, results, stats, and fee tracking, through the Footlog app and the Footlog Telegram bot. This policy explains what personal data that takes, what we do with it, and the choices you have. Footlog is operated by Reev Tech Inc. (“Footlog”, “we”, “us”).

Short version: we collect what is needed to run your club, we do not sell it, we show no ads, and we use no third-party analytics or advertising trackers. You can delete your account from inside the app.

What we collect

Your account

Telegram

If your club uses the Footlog Telegram bot, we receive what Telegram shares with bots in that group: your Telegram user ID, first and last name, username, profile photo, your answers to Footlog polls, and the commands and buttons you send to the bot. The bot does not store the general conversation in your group.

Your club activity

Fee tracking

Footlog keeps a ledger of what players owe their club (game fees and refunds), payment claims (“I’ve paid”) and admins’ approvals, and any payment instructions an admin writes. Footlog does not process, hold, or transfer money between players and clubs, and never asks for bank or card details for that purpose. Payments happen outside Footlog, between you and your club.

Club chat

Messages, replies, reactions, images you attach, and read positions in your club’s chat, so members of that club can see them.

Subscriptions

Paid plans are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The store handles payment; we never see your card or bank details. We receive and store the store’s transaction and subscription identifiers, the product you bought, its status, and its renewal or expiry date, so we can unlock the plan on your account.

Website

If you join the waitlist on footlog.app, we store your email address. When someone opens an invite link on the web, the page shows that club’s name, badge, venue, city, and player count.

Technical data

Like any online service, our servers process IP addresses and request details to deliver the service, limit abuse (for example rate-limiting invite codes), and diagnose errors. These logs are kept for a short time by our hosting provider.

How we use it

We rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running a safe and working service, your consent (for notifications and the waitlist, which you can withdraw at any time), and legal obligations.

Who can see your data

Other members of a club can see your name, photo, attendance, teams, results, stats, and chat messages in that club. Club admins can also see fee balances, payment claims, and the notes and marks they keep for the club. Games your club chooses to list on Explore are visible to other Footlog users. We do not show your email address or date of birth to other members.

Service providers

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with providers that run parts of the service for us:

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect people’s safety, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

Where data is stored

Our providers operate globally, so your data may be processed outside the country where you live, including in Canada, the United States, and the European Union. Where required, transfers are covered by the providers’ standard contractual safeguards.

Retention and deleting your account

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Club → Account & app → Delete account, or by emailing support@footlog.app from the address linked to your account.

Deleting your account removes your name, email, photo, birth date and sex, your Apple, Google, and Telegram sign-ins, your sessions and push tokens, and your club memberships, and it signs you out everywhere. If you signed in with Apple, we also ask Apple to revoke Footlog’s access. Club records that other members rely on, such as past match results, attendance, and fee ledgers, are kept under “Deleted player” so the club’s history stays accurate. Clubs you own pass to their longest-standing admin, or else their longest-standing member. A club with no other members who have accounts is archived: it stops running, and its records are kept for its players. Messages you sent in club chats stay in those chats, shown as from “Deleted player”, and the photos and voice notes you attached are deleted, unless one is evidence in an abuse report. Email us if you want the messages removed too. Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings first. Backups roll over and are erased within 30 days.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. Most profile details can be edited in the app. For anything else, email support@footlog.app; we answer within 30 days.

Children

Footlog is not directed at children. You must be at least 13 years old, or older where your country requires it, to create an account. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Data travels over HTTPS, sessions are stored as hashes, and access to production data is limited to the people who operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you if a breach affects you where the law requires.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you in the app for significant changes.
